Folks are coming to the defense of a Whitley Secondary School teacher who was caught disciplining one of her students in a classroom.

Though the caption accompanying the video on the Rilek1Corner Facebook page insists that the teacher had “manhandle” the student, the footage — captured on an unknown date — depicts a less exaggerated scene. The teacher had been pointing a finger at the student, who retaliated by pushing his own finger back on her hand. Presumably angered by the display of defiance, she pulled him up by his t-shirt and gestured him to exit the classroom.

Though the Facebook page’s stance is to question if it was abuse on her part, folks are largely on the teacher’s side, approving of her relatively tame disciplinary methods. In comparison to the fiercer teachers they faced in the past, of course.

Others believed that kids these days are pretty entitled brats and deserve fiercer punishments than what the boy went through.
