Philippe Coutinho has opened up on his close friendship with Barcelona team-mate Luis Suarez.

The pair became friends when the Brazilian moved to Liverpool from Inter Milan in 2013.

Suarez and Coutinho then played together for a-season-and-a-half, coming agonisingly close to winning the Premier League in 2014.

The Uruguayan then left Liverpool the summer following that season, joining Barcelona for around £75million.

Coutinho, meanwhile, continued to progress at Liverpool developing into one of the best players in Europe.
