The Frenchman has been handed greater power in the Spanish capital after returning to replace Santiago Solari last week.

Now Zidane is preparing for a busy summer, with Florentino Perez set to hand him as much as £300million to reshape the fallen European champions.

Top of Zidane's wishlist are Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Tottenham's Christian Eriksen, while Mirror Football also understands the Blancos' boss is keen on Raheem Sterling.

Thibaut Courtois found himself dropped with Keylor Navas returning, while Marcelo - out of favour under Solari and increasingly linked with a summer switch to Juventus - also back in the starting XI.

And speaking afterwards, a coy Zidane stated: “We will have changes [in the summer], but I cannot say anything more.

“I will not be here each 10 games thinking if someone played well they will stay, he played badly he must go.”

And the Belgian has previously spoken openly of his desire to play for both Real Madrid and under Zidane.

However, while Zidane is plotting a summer overhaul to a Madrid side whose season is effectively already over, he insisted that he is counting on his entire squad from now until the season's end.

"Nobody here, or anywhere, can take away what these players have done here," said Zidane.

"I have a squad of 23, 24, 25 players and will count on them all.
