House-Sized Asteroid to Pass Near Earth

A house-sized asteroid will be passing within 26,000 miles of Earth on October 12, not close enough to hit the planet but close enough for telescopes to observe. Its closest approach to Earth will be over Antarctica at 1:40am ET.Asteroid 2012 TC4 is about 45 to 100 feet (15 to 30 meters) long and was first discovered in 2012.
