Winged 'flying gurnard' must be ocean's weirdest fish

The flying gurnard, or helmet gurnard - also knows as Dactylopterus volitans - is a fish of warm waters. This incredible footage was captured by diver Victor de Valles while he was exploring Menorca's coast on Tuesday (June, 2). When excited, the fish spreads its beautiful but sharp "wings," designed to scare away predators.
