Last week, Lexus revealed a shadowy image of its LF-C2 Concept set to debut at the Los Angeles auto show. Now, the automaker has given us a new glimpse of the convertible, which is beginning to look more and more like a drop-top variant of the RC.

For the first time, the LF-C2 shows off its curves and a bit of its golden-hued body. We can see the convertible's resemblance to the RC in the wheel arches, character lines, and most notably, the angular headlights.

Lexus is not finished revealing more details of the LF-C2 concept before the big reveal on November 19. A new website dedicated to the concept model will reveal new elements of the convertible's side profile in the 72 hours leading up to the debut. Every day, Lexus is unlocking new images of key parts of the car, including the spindle grille, wheels, and interior. Fans can vote on which of these images they want to see next on the website.

If the concept is in fact an RC Convertible, we can expect it to offer the same base 3.5-liter V-6 engine with 306 hp, possibly along with a 2.5-liter V-6 hybrid setup. An RC F version would bump this up to 467 hp from a more powerful 5.0-liter V-8 powerplant.
