The Scion iM concept was just revealed at the 2014 Los Angeles auto show, but it won't be a concept much longer, as the automaker recently announced it would go into production and launch in the fall of 2015.

Those that were drawn to the iM concept's "Incrediblue" exterior paint and matte silver and gunmetal accents will be happy to know that they won't have to wait that long to see the iM again, as the hatchback will make its first appearance in production form at the 2015 New York International Auto Show in April. And the iM won't be alone, as Scion also announced another new model would debut alongside it. Scion Im Concept Front View© Provided by MotorTrend Scion Im Concept Front View

Scion iM Concept Bows in L.A. With Toyota Auris Looks

“The two models we’re debuting in New York next spring are just the beginning for Scion,” said Scion Vice President Doug Murtha in a release. “We plan to bring three new products in three years to our showrooms, offering a variety of exciting options for current and new Scion customers.”

The iM concept bowed in L.A. looking much like the Euro-market Toyota Auris. That's because the iM is essentially an Auris wearing a Scion badge. The concept emphasizes its sportiness with a low and wide stance, while deep air intakes and geometric grille inserts make it look aggressive. Large 19-inch wheels hide vented rotors with 4-piston front calipers, which Scion says work with the adjustable-height racing suspension. Scion also boasts that the iM will be a great urban cruiser since it'll have excellent fuel efficiency, sporty handling, and will be easy to park. Mechanicals, on the other hand, are still under wraps and will be revealed closer to the hatchback's launch date. As for pricing, Scion anticipates keeping it under $20,000.

We don't expect the production version to deviate too much from the concept, but we won't know for sure until the iM's next big reveal in April.
