As trucks and SUVs continue to gain favor, the slide in luxury car sales is evident with a 12.8 percent drop for 2016. The biggest change came in entry-luxury cars; sales dropped by 15.7 percent. A total of 880,744 luxury cars were sold in 2016, down from 1,010,027 in 2015.

Luxury Car Sales Drop
