The Honda CR-V has proven to be a popular crossover and it looks like its appeal will only get stronger thanks to a facelift. We’ve come into possession of this, Honda’s official CR-V photo, that appears to a refreshed 2015 model.

That said, the 2015 Honda CR-V will arrive in showrooms with a revised front fascia that looks sharper and cleaner overall. The three chrome slats, for example, give way to a black and chrome bar that integrates with the headlights. There appears to be LED elements on the outer edges of the headlight units, along with what looks like projector beam headlamps. A chrome bar borders the lower grille, while the lower bumper has been redone and includes redesigned fog lamp units.

Moving on to the side, the side-view mirror appears to have a new integrated turn-signal indicator. Meanwhile, the new rim design with two-tone chrome and black finish suggests that the CR-V picture here is likely an EX or EX-L model. The interior has likely been redone, though we’ll have to wait for the full batch of photos to find out.

Also unknown is if the 2015 CR-V will be the recipient of mechanical updates. The current 2014 Honda CR-V is powered by a 2.4-liter inline-four making 185 hp and 163 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. So far, the CR-V leads the segment in year-to-date sales, and the 2015 model should only help the crossover carry that momentum.
