Thanks to a new partnership with American Airlines, Cadillac will offer a luxury airport transfer service for top-tier fliers in airports around the country. For its part of the deal, American will give out frequent flier miles to customers who test drive a Cadillac.

A Cadillac CTS, SRX, or Escalade will shuttle fliers with tight transfer times to their departure gates at Los Angeles International Airport starting this month. Cadillac plans on expanding the program to Dallas/Fort Worth, New York's LaGuardia Airport, and John F. Kennedy International Airport by the end of this year. But most fliers sadly won't be able to take advantage of this service, as it is available only for ConciergeKey members, an invitation-only program for VIP customers with the highest mileage.

But many more AA fliers will be able to participate in another promotion that launches later this month. American's AAdvantage members will be able to test drive a Cadillac at a local dealership and earn 7,500 frequent flier miles. Cadillac says it will provide more information on the promotion closer to launch.

To further its branding efforts in airports, Cadillac has also started rolling out exhibits in AA terminals that feature Cadillac vehicles. These exhibits are currently in place in Dallas and Miami.

The new partnership is just one way Cadillac and American Airlines are trying to redefine their respective brand images. Last month, Cadillac announced it will branch off as a separate unit from General Motors and establish its headquarters in New York. Meanwhile, American Airlines has initiated a huge rebranding campaign with a new logo and airplane design.
