We've known it's been on the way for some time now, but thanks to an early release of the online configurator to pre-order recipients, we now have more information than ever on the hotly-anticipated Tesla Model X.

With a coupe-like SUV body, innovative gullwing doors that make tight parking spots a breeze, and an all-electric drivetrain, the Model X may change the game for luxury SUVs from this point onward. Thanks to InsideEVs.com, we now know everything from the price, options, and performance stats of the EV-SUV.

With a dual-motor setup and a floor of lithium ion batteries, the Model X is reportedly able to squeeze 240-miles out of every charge, and can reach 60-mph in just 3.8-seconds. Adding the available "Ludicrous Speed" upgrade lowers that figure to 3.2-seconds, and puts the quarter mile at 11.7-seconds. That's fast enough to give some of the most powerful American and German cars a run for their money, let alone other SUVs.

As of now, information has only been released on the top-of-the-line "Signature" model, so expect lower trim levels to include fewer options and have a smaller driving range, as well as performance stats.

So what does all this futuristic performance cost? According to the configurator, prices start at $132,000 for the launch edition. The "Ludicrous Speed" package is $10,000 alone, so clearly you have to pay to play in the high-tech SUV world. An entry-level Model X should fetch somewhere in the neighborhood of $100,000 to $110,000, but Tesla hasn't released pricing yet for the full range.
