AMG won't have the only six-wheeler in town anymore. British tuning company Kahn Design is bringing its latest concept to the 2015 Geneva auto show. Called the Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6x6, the concept is based on the Land Rover Defender 110 but has been lengthened and widened and now features tandem rear axles.

Research

Power for the six-wheeled Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6x6 concept comes from a GM-sourced 430-hp 6.2-liter LS3 V-8 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with tap shift control. The four-wheel drive system features high- and low-range transfer case with locking differentials. Kahn Design upgraded the heavy-duty chassis with new braking and suspension systems.

The body has been lengthened 15.75 inches ahead of the A-pillar and 31.5 inches to the rear to accommodate the third axle. The body has also been widened 5.9 inches. Other body enhancements include an increased rake for the windshield and longer front doors and wider rear doors for improved entry and exit. There is also a panoramic moonroof from the B-pillar back.

While still a concept, Kahn is considering bringing the Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6x6 into production with several variants possible including hard top and pickup body styles as well as four- and six-wheel versions. Additionally, Kahn is considering armored variants meeting B4, B6, B6+, and B7 standards.
