Rare supercars and classic muscle up for auction in Arizona

1965 Shelby 427 Competition Cobra
We begin with a car that is special even by the incredible standards of the Shelby Competition Cobra. One of the 23 cars produced in race trim, this example was featured in the Shelby Cobra Caravan publicity tour.
As a press vehicle, it also made an appearance in the Elvis Presley movie, Spinout, and was raced in-period. Such an illustrious history makes this a truly remarkable Cobra. It previously had more than $300,000 spent on refurbishment work, too.
The result is a Competition Cobra with a pre-auction guide price of between $3 million and $3.6 million.
