Spied: Rolls-Royce Wraith Drophead Coupe Caught Winter Testing

We've been hearing rumors that Rolls-Royce would be bringing another convertible to market, and it 's looking more and more like such a model is in the cards. Last year at the 2014 New York auto show, we sat down with Eric Shepherd, president of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars America, and while he didn't outright deny the claim , he did say that "We will do whatever makes sense for our customers and the brand."

It wasn't long after that we caught the first spy shots of a Wraith prototype in full camouflage that looked to be sporting a convertible top. We speculated that underneath the false top was a folding soft top similar to the Phantom Drophead Coupe's, but other features on the prototype were signature Wraith.

This time around, we caught the supposed Wraith Drophead Coupe cold weather testing in Sweden completely covered in camo. However, this time around it's easier to see the outline of the drop top through the black and white swirling designs. This prototype features the same lights and grille as the fixed-roof Wraith, and we expect the same twin-turbo V-12 found under the hood of the Wraith coupe will power this new model.

While we don't have an official release date, the Wraith Drophead may make its debut for the 2016 model year and come with a price tag over $300,000. Check out the photos below of the Wraith Drophead Coupe.
