The racing version of the Nissan GT-R Nismo uses a detuned version of the road car's twin-turbo V-6, displacing the same 3.8 liters, but makes just 550 horsepower (versus the street legal car's 600). It also sounds a whole lot better than any GT-R with a license plate.
