The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is the most powerful sedan money can buy, with its 707 factory horsepower and a top speed of over 200 mph. On this episode of Ignition, associate road test editor Carlos Lago puts the Charger Hellcat through its paces to answer one question: For the money, is it the ultimate family sedan?

Compared to the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat , the performance and power numbers are just about identical. But what the Challenger doesn't offer is an extra set of doors, a comfortable backseat, and what Lago refers to as a "veil of civility." It's not as aggressive or in your face about its potential, and it offers a comfortable, easy ride when not pushed to its limits.

During testing, the 2015 Charger Hellcat achieved the same 0-60 time as the Challenger, a quick 3.7 seconds, but was just a tenth of a second and 1 mph slower than the Challenger Hellcat for the quarter mile. However, during a hot lap at Streets of Willow with driver Randy Pobst, the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat achieved a time that beat out the likes of the Ford Mustang EcoBoost and Subaru WRX.
