The E92-generation BMW M3 isn't the first car that comes to mind when you think of winter fun. Still, with rear-wheel drive and a limited-slip differential, it has the potential for plenty of sideways fun, with the right snow tires anyway.

Tedward on YouTube, owner of an E92 M3 coupe, decided to see just how far their car could go on the snow shortly after a blizzard swept their region. With Vredestein Wintrac Pro tires equipped, they have no trouble making it out of their snow-packed driveway and onto the road. They waste no time finding a fun set of streets that have yet to be fully plowed, giving us a first-hand look at that it's like to drive the 414-hp V-8-powered M car on a loose surface.

The driver uses this opportunity not only for fun, but to explain how environments like this one are a great learning experience for drivers who want to achieve better car control. Even with snow tires, the grip is so low that even the slightest dab of throttle turns into oversteer. You don't need to be going incredibly fast, meaning the danger levels are relatively low compared to the dry. Of course, because the surface is so slippery, there's still plenty of chances to wreck your car. So if you're planning some winter fun of your own, keep that in mind.
