If only Paul Walker's character in 2001's "The Fast and the Furious" had known what his 1993 Toyota Supra would be worth in 14 years, maybe he could have delivered a clever retort to the Ferrari driver who thought he had the more valuable ride. The movie car recently sold at Mecum's Indianapolis auction for $185,000.

The non-turbo 1993 Toyota Supra had a pre-auction estimate of $150,000-$200,000, so the screen-used car was right within that range when the gavel dropped on Saturday, May 16. Wearing the same modifications it sported for the movie, the Supra came with a Bomex body kit, APR wing, Dazz alloy wheels wrapped in Yokohama tires, a custom roll cage, Sparco steering wheel, and obligatory NOS/Holley Performance Nitrous oxide bottles. Underneath the hood is a naturally aspirated 3.0-liter 2JZ inline-six making 220 hp and routing power to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. With the popularity of the franchise continuing to grow, and an eighth movie on the way, who knows what the value of this iconic movie car will be a few years down the road? While $185,000 seems a bit steep to us for a non-turbo Mark 4 Supra, it would be fun to tell Ferrari F355 Spider owners, "More than you can afford, pal. Toyota."
