General Motors is recalling a number of 2014 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia crossovers that may fuel gauges with inaccurate readings.

The Problem : GM says affected vehicles may have an engine control module (ECM) that is programmed to give inaccurate fuel level readings. The error could result in the crossover running out of fuel and stalling, and increase the risk of crashing.

The Fix : GM will reprogram the ECM in affected crossovers, free of charge. The automaker has yet to notify owners of the recall that GM has numbered as 14007. For more information, Buick owners should call 800-521-7300. Chevrolet and GMC owners may call 800-222-1020 and 800-462-8782, respectively.
