Owners of the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 won't be going for a joyride anytime soon, as the German automaker advises to not drive the sports cars until an inspection has been completed.

All 758 vehicles that have been delivered across the globe will have their engines inspected as a safety precaution. Earlier this month, two 911 GT3s in Europe caught fire due to engine damage, and to ensure that doesn't happen again, the automaker is contacting owners directly and recommending they stop driving their 911 GT3s until after the inspection. Porsche is taking the matter very seriously, and in an effort to make things easier on owners, the company has offered to pick up the vehicles and take them to a Porsche Center. Engineers are still hard at work trying to determine what could've caused the fires. As soon as their analysis has been completed, Porsche says it will immediately report any new findings. Until then, all 911 GT3 sales have also been suspended.
