The 2015 Acura TLX is making its 2014 SEMA show debut with an Andaro-Blue-colored bang. The Galpin Auto Sports Acura TLX is a bolder look at customization possibilities on a car that's created some serious buzz in dealerships across the country, as the luxury sports sedan's launch continues. The Galpin Auto Sports Acura TLX will be joined at the 2014 SEMA show by a production-spec TLX with a handful of Acura Genuine Accessories, as well as the TLX GT race car.

Even in the two sketches Acura has provided, the first thing most will notice about the Galpin Auto Sports Acura TLX is that paint. Called Andaro Blue, Acura says the hue is a new signature Acura brand color, so don't be surprised to see a toned-down version of it as an option on a future TLX, alongside the darker Fathom Blue Pearl. Created by Galpin Custom Car Works and the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles, the TLX SEMA concept is, as you'd expect, more eye-catching than the more subtle production version. A body kit gives the car a more sporty look, and the decklid spoiler out back is one of the more controversial design features. Along with a beefed-up lower rear fascia are integrated dual exhaust outlets -- a nice touch.

The 2015 TLX SEMA concept has a few functional upgrades, as well. The RSR Sport SI Series suspension kit has fully adjustable coilovers and 36-way damping adjustment, while braking duties are handled by Wilwood Superlite six-piston calipers with 14-inch vented rotors up front and four-piston calipers with 14-inch vented rotors in back. The 19-inch ADV5.0 M.V2 SL custom wheels are wrapped in Pirelli 245/40/19 P Zero tires.

In stock form, the 2015 TLX 3.5 produces 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque, and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. About TLX sales for October 2014, Acura says that despite being on sale for just a few months, the car came within a few hundred units of becoming the best-selling model for the month.

Also at the 2014 SEMA show Acura booth will be a production-spec 2015 Acura TLX with dealer-installed accessories including a full body kit, decklid spoiler, illuminated side sills, additional chrome trim, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Considering that some feel the TLX's stock design might be a bit too subdued, SEMA show concepts like these might be just what the brand needs to sustain interest in the car.

Stay tuned for Motor Trend track-tested performance data on the 2015 Acura TLX 3.5 SH-AWD, coming later this week.
