General Motors is paying homage to the 1967 Chevy Custom Sport Truck with the new Custom Sport package for the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado double- and crew-cab body styles. The 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Custom Sport special edition model features a monochromatic exterior treatment to give it a unique look.

Available on 2015 Silverado LT models in black or white and LTZ models in black or White Diamond Tricoat (including Z71); the Custom Sport package features body-colored front and rear bumpers and grille surround with a chrome-accented black grille. The Custom Sport package features chrome bits including 20-inch wheels, door handles and mirror caps, and body-side moldings. Also included are projector headlights, tow hooks, and heated power mirrors. 1967 Chevrolet Custom Sport Truck© Provided by MotorTrend 1967 Chevrolet Custom Sport Truck

“The Custom Sport special edition was inspired by Chevy Custom Sport Trucks of the late 1960s,” said Sandor Piszar, Chevrolet Trucks marketing director, in a release. “Those CST models added a touch of elegance to a great all-around truck, just like the Custom Sport package for the new Silverado.”

The 1967 Chevrolet Custom Sport Truck arrived about the time pickups were being purchased for duty in suburbia rather than just on worksites. The special truck featured bright trim, plush carpet, bucket seats, among other niceties. 1967 Chevrolet Custom Sport Truck© Provided by MotorTrend 1967 Chevrolet Custom Sport Truck

The Custom Sport package is priced from $1950 to $2950, depending on model.
