Honda's hybrid sports coupe has no significant changes for the 2015 model year, but its base price nonetheless creeps up $150 compared to the 2014 model. The 2015 Honda CR-Z now starts at $20,935 (with destination) when equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.

Research

All trim levels of the 2015 Honda CR-Z employ a version of the company's Integrated Motor Assist hybrid powertrain. A 1.5-liter inline-four gasoline engine works with an electric motor-generator for totals of 130 hp. Torque stands at 140 lb-ft in models equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, but only 127 lb-ft in CR-Zs with the optional continuously variable transmission. Although the CR-Z is designed for sporty performance, this hybrid arrangement also results in impressive fuel economy: 31/38/34 mpg (city/highway/combined) with a manual transmission or 36/39/37 mpg with the CVT.

The base CR-Z costs $20,935 with a manual transmission and $21,585 with the CVT. The base model comes standard with Bluetooth, keyless entry, automatic climate control, a six-speaker sound system, and a backup camera. Moving up to the CR-Z EX adds equipment like LED running lights, HID headlights, foglights, heated mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and a 360-watt seven-speaker sound system. The CR-Z EX stickers for $22,780 with the manual and $23,430 with the CVT. The most expensive version of the 2015 Honda CR-Z is the EX with Navigation, which adds touchscreen navigation and bumps the sticker price up to $24,280 with a manual transmission or $24,930 with the CVT.

Earlier this year, Honda also confirmed pricing for a Honda Performance Development (HPD) supercharger kit that bumps the CR-Z's power output to 197 hp. The upgrade package costs $5495 before installation costs, and adding it does not affect the Honda CR-Z's factory warranty.
