Though the Hyundai Azera has always played second fiddle to Hyundai’s more popular Sonata and Genesis models, this full-size sedan gets some tweaks for 2015 including a slightly different look and some new features.

The current generation of the Hyundai Azera was introduced as a 2012 model, and this is the first refresh for the sedan. Exterior changes include a restyled front fascia and grille along with a slightly different rear bumper. The 2015 Hyundai Azera Limited trim also now includes LED foglights, and the Azera’s standard 18-inch wheels are also redesigned.

Research

The most notable addition to the 2015 Hyundai Azera’s standard feature list is a blind spot detection system that also includes rear cross traffic alert and lane change assist. Also standard for 2015 are features like a smart trunk opener, a larger eight-inch LCD screen, and illuminated door sill plates. The center stack is also revised, though we don’t yet have photos of the updated interior to see what it looks like.

Mechanically, the 2015 Hyundai Azera is still powered by the same 3.3-liter V-6 engine making 293 hp, and paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Despite the carryover powertrain, EPA city fuel economy rises 1 mpg for new ratings of 20/29 mpg city/highway.

We don’t yet have pricing for the updated 2015 Hyundai Azera, so look out for more information closer to when this sedan goes on sale within the next few months. Hyundai dropped the Azera's price by $1250 last year, and the updated version shouldn't diverge too much from the 2014 Azera's $31,895 starting price.
