For the first time, the Mopar Drag Pak for the Dodge Challenger will offer a supercharged engine. The 2015 Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak will be offered with a choice of a supercharged 354-cubic-inch Gen III Hemi V-8 or a naturally aspirated 426-cubic-inch Gen III Hemi V-8.

The Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak is built for Sportsman racers competing in sanctioned drag racing series, including the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) events.

In order to withstand racing duties and the boost from the supercharger, the 354 Hemi V-8 features a cast-iron block, forged steel crankshaft, Mopar-spec camshaft, and a custom engine calibration. Mopar says the 354-cubic-inch displacement pays homage to the original 354 Gen 1 Hemi V-8 engines. The 426-cubic-inch Hemi V-8 features an aluminum block with pressed-in liners and aluminum heads as well as a custom engine calibration. Both engines are backed by a race-prepped automatic transmission that is said to have been upgraded to handle the power from the engines.

Front tires measure 28 inches in diameter and 4.5 inches in width, while the rear tires measure 30 inches in diameter and 9 inches in width. The brakes feature slotted rotors all the way around as well as a race-specific master cylinder and calipers.

Exterior bits include a factory hood and new front and rear bumpers, as well as a graphic package that identifies which engine is used. Mopar Drag Pak-equipped cars with the supercharged 354 engine feature a Mopar Blue stripe with “354 Supercharged ” graphics, while the naturally aspirated cars feature a black stripe and “426 HEMI” graphics. There are also integrated trailer tie-down loops on the front and rear of the cars.
