The 2015 Nissan Armada starts at $39,055 including $995 destination fee, or $470 more than the outgoing 2014 model's starting price. All-wheel drive tacks on a whopping $5300 to the price of the base SV model.

The mid-range SL trim model can be had for $47,045. This model adds power liftgate, heated front seats, leather-appointed seats, rearview camera, a premium 11-speaker Bose sound system, and 20-inch dark chrome wheels. Adding all-wheel drive to this version brings the price up by $2900.

The top Platinum trim model will set you back $51,425, or $54,325 for the all-wheel-drive version. Standard features include heated second-row seats and steering wheel, moonroof, navigation and a rear DVD entertainment system with two 7-inch screens. Nissan has not announced new prices for a Platinum Reserve Package, which brings extra chrome finishes and upgraded leather and wood trim.

The 2015 Nissan Armada carries over the same 317-hp 5.6-liter V-8 engine paired with an (outdated) five-speed automatic transmission. The burly SUV hasn't been fully redesigned in 10 years, and only minor equipment changes have been made for 2015. Among these adjustments, Nissan has added standard power lumbar for drivers and has revised the styling of the interior trim. Two new exterior colors -- Arctic Metallic Blue and Magnetic Black -- are available, with Pearl White available at extra cost.
