With a new starting price of $30,395 including destination fees, the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder will get a mild price hike compared to the 2014 version. Excluding a handful of changes to the content of specific trim levels and packages, the Pathfinder will soldier on without much deviation from the redesigned version that debuted in 2012 as a 2013 model.

As before, all Nissan Pathfinder vehicles come equipped with a 260-hp 3.5-liter V-6 engine, a continuously variable transmission, and either standard front- or optional all-wheel drive ($1690). The Pathfinder S with front-wheel drive remains the most affordable version of the Nissan SUV, followed by the all-wheel-drive Pathfinder S, which starts at $32,085. All-wheel-drive 2015 Nissan Pathfinder vehicles now receive Hill Descent Control as standard.

The SV trim now adds fog lights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a universal transceiver, and heated side mirrors. As before, opting for the SV trim adds on push-button start, a backup camera, a power-operated driver’s seat, satellite radio, automatic headlights, Bluetooth, and rear parking sensors. Optional equipment unique to the SV trim is a $400 trailer tow package.

Further up the ladder is the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder SL, starting at $36,945 with front-wheel drive and $38,635 with all-wheel drive. The SL trim adds remote start, a power liftgate, heated mirrors, and leather first- and second-row seats. New for 2015 on SL models are a 120V power outlet, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert (also included for the Platinum trim). The optional $2,030 SL Tech package bundles navigation, Bluetooth audio, a Bose 13-speaker sound system, as well as a newly included Around View 360-degree camera technology and a tow hitch and harness. Now available on the $3,330 SL Premium package are the aforementioned Around View and navigation systems, on top of the Bose audio system, panoramic sunroof, and tow hitch.

In addition to the SL trim’s equipment, the Platinum model upgrades the standard 18-inch wheels to aluminum 20-inchers, a dual panoramic sunroof (previously an option on the Platinum model), Around View monitoring, Bose audio, a heated steering wheel, and cooled front seats. Gone is last year’s Platinum Premium package, which has been replaced with the new Family Entertainment package that adds a dual headrest 7.0-inch DVD entertainment system for $1700.

The 2015 Nissan Pathfinder is on sale now.
