Move over Tangerine Orange Pearl. The hot new color on the XV Crosstrek is Sunrise Yellow, which is available exclusively on the new Special Edition model, as is an array of upgraded equipment.

The 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Special Edition arrives at dealerships this spring, and only 1000 units will be sold. Priced at $26,140 including an $850 destination fee, it is the most expensive model in the non- hybrid XV Crosstrek lineup in base form.

The Special Edition borrows its feature content from the 2.0i Premium trim, but adds a few key extras. An upgraded Starlink 7.0-inch touchscreen system offers swipe and scrolling controls, complemented by a six-speaker audio system, voice-activated features, SiriusXM satellite radio, SMS text messaging, iTunes Tagging capability, and two USB ports. 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Special Edition Side Profile© Provided by MotorTrend 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Special Edition Side Profile

Other features on the XV Crosstrek Special Edition include a standard leather-wrapped steering wheel and Keyless Access with Push-Button Start and Pin Code Access. A power moonroof, foldable mirrors with integrated turn signals, and blackened headlight bezels add to the list of goodies.

The XV Crosstrek Special Edition gets the familiar 2.0-liter boxer four-cylinder engine that produces 148 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque. The sole transmission choice on this limited-edition XV Crosstrek is a CVT automatic.
