Normally, one would not be happy getting stuck in traffic on the 405 Freeway in LA, but in this case, visual assets manager Brian Vance didn’t mind since he was able to snap photos of a camouflaged Acura NSX as it crawled along the freeway.

We’ve seen plenty of NSX spy shots before, and while we recently saw it without camo, we have never been able to get this close to one that's actually moving. We don't quite understand why the NSX is covered up since Acura unveiled the production version a couple months ago. Even with the camouflage, the shapely NSX seen here looks the same as what we've seen before, with the same general proportions, aggressive stance, wide track, and cabin pushed close to the front axle. The edgy design language also remains, including the thin "Jewel Eye" headlamps, aggressive side skirts, and a character line that folds into the protruding rear end. Getting this close also means that we got to hear it loud and clear, as Vance said the sports car’s mid-engine V-6 “sounded decent for sure.” Although official numbers haven't been revealed yet, Acura has revealed that the NSX will make its power by way of six cylinders arranged longitudinally in a V configuration, two turbochargers, three electric motors (two front, one rear), four driven wheels, and nine forward gears in its dual-clutch transmission. Horsepower is said to be above 550.

Drives for the 2016 NSX are supposed to take place as soon as July, so it appears as though Acura is making the very last adjustments to the highly anticipated sports car.
