Chevrolet is no stranger to a laundry list of special edition Silverado models, and has recently announced two special edition Colorado pickups. The Colorado Midnight Edition and Z71 Trail Boss models hit dealerships this fall, and pricing will be announced at a later date.

The Midnight Edition draws inspiration from the Silverado Midnight Edition with its blacked-out design. The exterior, grille and bowtie emblem, and 18-inch aluminum wheels are all finished in a black. Chevrolet has also added a spray-on bedliner, soft folding tonneau cover in black, and Chevrolet sill plates. MotorTrend Image© Provided by MotorTrend MotorTrend Image

This edition will only be offered on LT models with the extended cab or crew cab. Customers can choose between two- and four-wheel drive, with the option of the 2.5-liter and 3.6-liter engines. It will also be available on the all-new 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine.

For those customers wanting a little more off-road capability from the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, the Z71 Trail Boss edition delivers more aggressive tires and other off-road cues. Consumers will be able to differentiate this model from the rest of the lineup thanks to the all-new sport bar with LED trail lighting and black-finished 17-inch aluminum wheels outfitted with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTec 265/65R17 all-terrain tires. Revised fender flares and tubular assists have also been added to the special edition. MotorTrend Image© Provided by MotorTrend MotorTrend Image

Like the Midnight Edition, the Z71 Trail Boss will feature a spray-on bedliner, along with a black bowtie grille and interior all-weather floor mats. Customers will be able to get the special edition on Z71 models with the extended or crew cab, with the same engine and powertrain options as the Midnight Edition.
