Complete with a bolder exterior and new technology, the 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT is making its debut at the Chicago auto show this month.

Immediately apparent is the Elantra GT's new grille, featuring horizontal chrome and argent slats that help it blend in with the rest of the Hyundai family. Newly styled 17-inch alloy wheels finish off the look.

Peek inside and you'll find a revised interior with new features and an updated infotainment system available on the Tech Package. Hyundai's next-generation Blue Link system brings Remote Start with Climate Control and Destination Search powered by Google. Customers can also access these features via a smartwatch that we saw at this year's Consumer Electronics Show. Also look for the same navigation system found in the all-new Genesis and Sonata, featuring HD radio, Siri Eyes Free integration, SiriusXM Traffic, and other technologies accessible through a 7-inch touchscreen. Ventilated front seats are also now available.

For 2016, the 2.0-liter direct-injected Nu engine carries over as the sole engine option. This powerplant packs 173 horses and 154 lb-ft of torque and is paired with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission with Shiftronic manual control. Fuel economy tops out at 24/33 mpg city/highway with the automatic.
