Nissan has released its online configurator for the 2016 Maxima, allowing customers to choose the right color combination and model. Packages and standalone features, however, are not available. Pricing starts at $32,410 for the base S model and $39,860 for the Platinum model.

Nissan is offering the new Maxima in five trim levels, including S, SV, SL, SR, and Platinum. With each model, there is an extensive features list, reducing the need to add on special packages and options. All five models feature nine exterior color options, while each model has the choice of two interior material options. The S offers the choice of Cashmere or Charcoal cloth, while the SV, SL, and Platinum models have the choice of Cashmere or Charcoal leather. The SR model is offered with Charcoal or exclusive Camel leather.

All five Maxima models will be powered by a 300-hp 3.5-liter V-6, with standard features on the base S model including NissanConnect with Navigation, remote engine start, sport mode selector, and RearView monitor. The SV adds leather-appointed seats, heated front seats, front/rear parking sensors, and driver's seat power lumbar support and thigh support. The SL will feature a dual-panel panoramic moonroof, Bose Premium Audio system, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and Intelligent Cruise Control. For those opting for the SR, the model comes with a sport-tuned suspension, Integrated Dynamics-control module, 19-inch diamond-cut machined aluminum-alloy wheels, and premium Ascot Leather-appointed seats with Diamond-quilted Alcantara inserts. The top-of-the-line Platinum model will add an AroundView Monitor, Driver Attention Alert, and climate-controlled front seats.
