Vehicle Summary

Slotting above the tiny Spark city car and below the compact Cruze is the Chevrolet Sonic, a front-drive subcompact that's available as a four-door hatchback or a sedan.

Not much is going to change on the 2018 Chevrolet Sonic, as the car received a major refresh for the 2017 model year that included a new front fascia, an updated infotainment system, and a revised interior with a new instrument cluster, and convenience features like a heated steering wheel and heated front seats. We'll update this space as soon as we have official info on the 2018 Sonic.

In addition to the 2017 Sonic's standard 1.8-liter I-4, the car is also available with a 1.4-liter turbo-four that has more torque and offers up to 28/38 mpg city/highway when equipped with the standard six-speed manual gearbox.
