2018 Toyota Prius C

Motor Trend logo Motor Trend 4/7/2017 Motor Trend Staff

Vehicle Summary

Currently the least expensive hybrid vehicle available, the Toyota Prius C slots below the standard Prius and features a more compact powertrain. As a subcompact four-door hatchback, the front-drive Prius C is an ideal hybrid for urban driving and tight streets where it can squeeze through small parking spots and narrow alleyways.

After receiving a refresh for the 2016 model year and minor updates for 2017, don't expect the Toyota Prius C to receive many changes for 2018 - we'll update this space as soon as we have official info. The Prius C has been the cheapest hybrid in the U.S. for years, but now has competition from the slightly more expensive -- but still affordable -- Hyundai Ioniq.
