To aid in the development of new models, Aston Martin will open a new prototype and vehicle development base in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. The new 15,800 sq.-ft. facility at the MIRA Technology Park will greatly increase engineering capacity for the British luxury automaker, and it represents a significant investment for current and future models.

While the 2015 lineup has already hit the ground running with the likes of the 2015 Aston Martin Vanquish and 2015 V12 Vantage S Roadster , the new facility will let the automaker create the next generation of Aston Martin sports cars in a secure environment.

"By selecting MIRA as a new location for their prototype and vehicle development teams, Aston Martin is able to take advantage of an entirely bespoke and secure facility whilst also taking advantage of MIRA's extensive research and testing facilities right on their doorstep," George Gillespie, CEO at MIRA, said in a recent press release. The new facility comes on the heels of another huge investment from Aston Martin in its sports cars. In mid-2014, the automaker expanded its manufacturing facility in Gaydon, Warwickshire with a new chassis and pilot build facility as well as new offices and a new parts and logistics area.
