Could the 2016 Ford Mustang GT350 Look Like This?

Carroll Shelby may be gone but he's certainly not forgotten by Ford or its faithful fans. With the legendary Shelby in mind – as well as the marketing and sales power behind his name – the Blue Oval is expected to reintroduce the GT350 name on the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang lineup. With the 2016 Ford Mustang GT350 all but officially confirmed, we got to work and came up with a rendering of what the new Mustang GT350 could look like.

The Ford Mustang GT350, rendered here in Shelby's signature Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue stripes, is rumored to be powered by a souped-up version of the Mustang GT's potent Coyote 5.0-liter V-8. While the next-gen Mustang GT500 is likely to continue to carry the torch with regards to outright power, we think it'd be nice to see the new Mustang GT350 positioned as more of a road racer, like the original. With that in mind, we'd like to see the new Mustang GT350 pick up where the previous-generation Mustang Boss 302 left off. The Mustang GT350 should be available with a manual transmission, sport suspension (utilizing that fancy new independent rear suspension), and big Brembo brakes.
