Blood Type Racing is preparing a massively boosted but street-friendly version of the 2014 Hyundai Genesis Coupe for this year's SEMA Show.

The BTR Hyundai Genesis makes the most out of Hyundai's traditional 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Thanks to a high-boost turbocharger from Precision Turbo, a custom intake, intercooler, full exhaust kit, and nitrous injection, this souped-up Genesis Coupe delivers over 800 hp. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission that is also available on the traditional Genesis Coupe.

While the additional horsepower may grab the most attention, the Chicago-based tuner says that is just the beginning of the performance enhancements. Among the other changes are a short throw shifter, suspension upgrades, Toyo R888 tires, and custom two-piece 19-inch wheels.

“It’s easy to add lots of power to an engine, but we engineered all other aspects of the vehicle -- cornering and handling, stopping power, and visual appearance -- to complement the massive horsepower we’re now getting from the engine," said Sam Lee, product manager of Blood Type Racing, in a recent statement.

To look the part, the special Genesis Coupe sports a full body kit developed by famous body kit designer Kei Miura. The transformation begins with 40mm-wider front and 60mm-wider rear fenders as well as a front bumper lip spoiler, rear diffuser, and an aggressive GT wing. Inside the car are Tanabe OLED Revel gauges, racing seats and harnesses, and a roll cage.

Hyundai will receive its fair share of attention this year at SEMA, as ARK Performance has just announced it would bring a one-off 2015 Hyundai Genesis AR500 to the show. Along with a supercharged 550-hp V-8, the car also features cosmetic upgrades including new lights, custom seats, and gold-colored wheels. Meanwhile, Bisimoto plans to bring a 700-hp Hyundai Sonata.
