DS has officially split off from Citroën, and it brought out a slew of new models, as well as its new corporate signature, to the Geneva motor show. Among these debuts is the Divine DS concept, which previews what we can expect on future models from the brand.

Research

Just like the Citroën DS-19 we enjoyed on U.S. shores decades ago, new DS models feature progressive styling and the latest in technology. Along with the new DS 5 flagship sedan, the French automaker also presented the Divine DS concept, which features an exceptionally radical design.

The Divine DS, which was unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, shows off strong character lines on the hood and the side of its hatch-like body. This four-door compact car features laser headlights and unique slats on the rear window. Inside, look for plenty of digital controls as well as interchangeable interior ambiances -- "Parisianne Chic," "Mâle," and "Fatale Punk." This new concept, along with the entire DS lineup, is meant to embody the new brand signature, "Spirit of Avant-Garde." Citroen Divine DS Concept© Provided by MotorTrend Citroen Divine DS Concept

Late last year, we reported on how the DS brand may end up coming to the U.S. PSA Peugeot-Citroën is looking to expand its DS brand in 200 cities around the world starting in 2020, and after that, the company may introduce DS cars to the U.S. But a final decision on that matter won't be made until 2017, we hear.
