The 2015 Porsche Macan now has a fourth engine in its powertrain lineup. A visit to the automaker’s U.K. website reveals that a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four can be had with Porsche’s newest crossover, slotting below the Macan S, Macan Diesel, and Macan Turbo.

The turbo-four is listed to produce 233 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, essentially matching the output of the Audi Q5, though the Macan’s engine is paired to a PDK dual-clutch gearbox. Porsche estimates the engine will pull the 2015 Macan from 0-62 mph in 6.9 seconds, which is 0.6 seconds behind the diesel and 1.5 seconds slower than the Macan S. 2015 Porsche Macan© Provided by MotorTrend 2015 Porsche Macan

For now, it appears that Porsche isn’t expecting to sell too many turbo-four-equipped Macans because the engine is listed as a special order option only. Pricing isn’t listed, so it’s unclear how much U.K. customers will save compared to the Macan S and Macan Diesel, both of which are priced at about 43,000 Pounds (approximately $72,200).

A Porsche spokesman told us there are currently no plans to bring the 2.0-liter turbo-four to the U.S., so be prepared to fork over at least $50,895 if you want the keys to a 2015 Macan S with the 340-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6. Meanwhile, the Macan Turbo powered by the 400-hp 3.6-liter twin-turbo V-6 will start at $73,295. The Macan should start arriving in U.S. showrooms sometime next month.
