Fiat introduced the 500 1957 Edition coupe last year, and now it is ready to bring out a drop-top version.

Just like the coupe, the Fiat 500 1957 Edition Fiat 500C Abarth w/Video" target="_blank">Cabrio features a sport-tuned suspension, unique retro body-color design, and 16-inch forged aluminum wheels. The model is roughly $2,000 more expensive than the Fiat 500c Lounge from which it is based. Pricing starts at $25,680 including destination.

The limited-run model sports a power-operated cloth top that can retract all the way to the rear at speeds as high as 60 mph. With the push of a button, drivers can control exactly where they want the roof, whether that means all the way down or somewhere in the middle. Press the button again, and the roof will fold itself neatly behind the rear head restraints at speeds up to 50 mph. When opening the trunk, the cloth top automatically closes for better access.

The limited-production model is inspired by the original 1957 Fiat "Nuova" Cinquecento and sports a vintage look. Three exterior colors are available: Bianco (white), Verde Chiaro (light green) and Celeste (blue). Throwback badging can be seen on the front fascia and rear liftgate. Inside, drivers are swathed in Marrone (brown) and Avorio (ivory) leather upholstery.

Under the sheetmetal, buyers will be driving a 1.4-liter MultiAir engine paired with either a five-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic. Fiat is now taking orders for the 1957 Edition Cabrio, which is expected to arrive in showrooms this spring.
