Honda has produced a video that showcases the duality between the European Civic hatchback and the Civic Type R concept. More accurately, Honda has produced two videos that sync up and show the separate paths taken by a driver in the Type R and the more pedestrian Honda Civic.

The unique video, titled "The Other Side," works like this: you hit play, and at any time you can press the "R" key on your keyboard to switch to the Type R version of the film. The two videos are matched up nearly shot for shot, so it's almost like peering into an alternate universe when you toggle between them. In the regular Civic hatch version, a father waits in front of a school to pick up his kids. Hit the "R" key though, and the white Civic turns into the bright red Type R concept that debuted at this year's Geneva show. In this version, the same man is waiting to pick up his cohorts after a heist. Honda Civic Type R Concept© Provided by MotorTrend Honda Civic Type R Concept

As the stories progress, we see the Type R chased through a European city while its standard Civic counterpart drives the kids to a costume party. The real payoff comes at the end, however, when the two stories converge for the first time to produce a neat effect. Check out the full video here.
