Last week, Hyundai released a teaser image of the all-new 2017 Elantra, which revealed a sleek, Genesis-like design. From Based on that image, it seems like Hyundai is pushing for a more upscale design for the new Elantra, and the teaser image of the interior that the automaker has just released confirms this.

Research

Immediately noticeable is a much simpler center stack, with condensed controls and a more cohesive appearance. Instead of an exorbitant amount of buttons, Hyundai has cleaned up the controls for the infotainment and HVAC system. The overall appearance of the center stack is less elongated compared to the outgoing model and much more refined. It's also similar to that of the 2015 Genesis.

The dash itself looks to be more upscale, with cleaner lines and a chrome accent separating the dual-tone interior. We can't see much else of the interior, but the steering wheel looks to also have been updated, with more central controls resting just in reach of the driver's thumbs. The previous model had other buttons flowing down to the bottom of the steering wheel, but it looks as though Hyundai may have eliminated those on the new model.

Hyundai hasn't announced an official date for the reveal the all-new 2017 Elantra, but we expect that it will happen in the coming weeks.
