At last month’s L.A. auto show, we learned that a redesigned Infiniti Q60 would be coming to Detroit. Now, the automaker has given us our first glimpse at the two-door version of the Q50 with this lone teaser image.

The image shows a shadowy profile view of the coupe, and we can also make out the brand’s characteristic rear quarter window kink, a character line that suggests muscular rear shoulders, swept back headlights, and a front fender vent somewhat reminiscent of the Nissan GT-R and Q80 Inspiration concept. Infiniti bills this car as a concept, a fact supported by the Q60’s tiny side mirrors.

Infiniti gives us few other details on the car other than that the Q60 will “build upon the design language seen on recent Infiniti concept cars.” The brand also hints that the Q60’s design is a taste of things to come from its future lineup. At the L.A. show, Infiniti design director Alfonso Albaisa said that the Q60 concept’s design would be “very, very close” to the production version.

From the teaser, it’s difficult to tell how much of a resemblance the Q60 will bear to its four-door counterpart, the Q50. One thing, however, is clear: the car will look drastically different from the current Q60, which hasn’t changed much since 2008. We’ll know more about the Infiniti Q60 concept closer to its debut at the 2015 Detroit auto show next month.
