It’s Snow Time: Next-Gen Chevrolet Cruze Spied in the Cold

The next-gen Chevrolet Cruze has been spotted rolling around in the white stuff. This prototype doesn’t reveal much more than the one caught last week, but the photos are sharper, and include some clear close-ups of the headlights and taillights.

That said, it doesn’t look like the Cruze will come standard with any fancy light setup like the Toyota Corolla with its standard LED headlight system. Perhaps the upcoming Cruze will get HID headlights as an option, especially considering they’re offered on other competitors like the Kia Forte and 2014 Mazda3. The taillights should be an improvement compared to the current model, with features like U-shaped details that are similar to the 2014 Corvette. The back view also reveals the possibility of an integrated deck spoiler and a revised lower bumper.

This round of photos doesn’t include new shots of the interior, though the dash and steering wheel have been snapped in the past. Based on General Motors’ new Delta chassis, the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze is scheduled to reach showrooms sometime this year. The current Cruze is offered with three engines, including the recently-added 2.0-liter turbodiesel I-4 that achieves an EPA-rated 46 mpg on the highway. Gas offerings include a 138-hp 1.4-liter turbo-four.
