Vehicle testing can be dangerous work. That's one fact that's all too apparent to Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg right now. Two cars from the brand were spied testing on the Nürburgring recently, and one, an Agera R mule, crashed and sent both the driver and passenger to the hospital.

Our spy shooter reports that prototypes for the Koenigsegg One:1 and Agera R were seen on the 'Ring testing together. The photos that show the two cars at speed were taken a couple minutes before the crash, which sent both occupants of the Agera R to the hospital. It's difficult to say exactly what happened, but you can see heavy damage to the front and driver side in the top photo. Another photo shows one of the occupants being carried away on a stretcher. The shooter says the driver suffered more serious injuries than the passenger.

It's still unknown what caused the crash, but it serves as a reminder that driving cars fast -- especially on the Nürburgring -- has its risks. Our thoughts are with the driver and passenger of the totaled supercar.
