Koenigsegg Agera RS Teased Again Before Geneva

In the teaser of all teasers, Koenigsegg previewed the new Agera RS earlier this month -- but only its badges. Now, more details are slowly trickling out before the model's final reveal at the Geneva motor show.

Research

Along with releasing another vague image, Koenigsegg told the public a little more about what to expect on the new Agera RS through its Facebook page. "The Agera RS pushes the boundaries and takes the Agera to all new levels of performance," the post reads. "With focus on track attitude, the RS utilizes advanced technology from the One:1 program while maintaining all the features and functionalities of previous S and R models." The Swedish supercar maker also said the new model will retain the traditional Agera's "everyday usability," meaning it should come with a place to put your luggage and a rear window.

We imagine the new model will improve upon what is offered on the already-insane Agera R, which makes 1150 hp and 885 lb-ft of torque. This model is powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 that carries the car to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds.

Alongside an equally-mysterious new model called the Regera, the Koenigsegg Agera RS will be revealed during a press conference leading up to the show's public debut on March 5. Until then, we can only guess at the model's appearance and performance. Considering Koenigsegg releases new cars so infrequently, we don’t mind the slow tease.
