With a 750-hp 6.5-liter V-12 and a top speed of 221 mph, the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster makes its own music. But how does an audio enthusiast enjoy music in a permanent open-top supercar? With a custom-designed audio system from Monster Audio.

Noel Lee, CEO of Monster Audio, introduced the Veneno Roadster at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this week. Most recognized for its line of audio/video cables for home, auto, and computer applications, Monster Audio was selected by Lamborghini to design the infotainment system in the Veneno Roadster. The custom system features a 750-watt, 10-speaker audio system controlled by a windshield header-mounted touch-screen and center console-mounted controller. Not only is the Monster Audio system clear- and crisp-sounding at high volume inside the car, the system sounds better than most club sound systems from more than 50 feet away. While the system was designed to offer a rich listening experience throughout the audible range, it does offer strong low-end bass when the song demands it.

Although there are more powerful factory audio systems on the market, few sound as clear as the Veneno Roadster’s sound system. While Monster Audio has created the ultimate audio system for the $4.5 million hyper car, one question remains: Would you rather listen to the V-12 soundtrack or your favorite song?
