A Barrett-Jackson event this past weekend in Las Vegas auctioned off special models of the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. And while neither muscle car fetched as much as the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, both models managed to sell for high prices at the charity event.

The 2015 Ford Mustang carrying Badge Number 1964 (out of a total edition size of 1964 units) sold for $170,000 this weekend to benefit the Henry Ford Heart and Vascular Institute. Along with a six-speed manual transmission, the special Mustang features the GT's 5.0-liter V-8 as well as Brembo brake calipers, two-tone cashmere and black leather seats, and chrome accents. Incidentally, the first 2015 Mustang GT coupe to roll off the line sold for $300,000 at the beginning of this year.

Also auctioned this weekend was the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 coupe. As the third Z/28 to roll off the production line, it sold for $147,500, complete with a unique front fascia, functional hood vent, and special tires and wheels. The Z/28 typically starts at a base price of $75,995. Proceeds benefitted the YMCA of Southern Nevada.

As we previously reported, the first ever 2015 Hellcat to roll off the line sold for $825,000 during this same auction, or about $760,000 more than the car's on-sale price.
