There are only so many ways to write the next sentence: the Ford F-Series continues to be the best-selling vehicle in the United States by a large margin. Ford sold almost eight times more F-Series pickups last month than it sold the entire six-model Lincoln lineup. With that out of the way, let's take a look at the rest of the best-selling cars from May 2014, where almost every vehicle shuffled a spot or two.

April's second place seller, the Chevrolet Silverado lineup, drops a spot to third, with 46,648 sold. Fourth place went to the Honda Accord with 39,637 sedans sold, while the Ram pickup lineup fell back another place, coming in in fifth with 37,131 sold.

Hot on the Ram's tail(gate) was the Toyota Corolla, which came in sixth place in May with 36,611 sold. The Honda Civic was the seventh-best-selling vehicle, with 36,084 sold. The Nissan Altima made up ground last month, jumping from tenth to eighth place, thanks to 36,053 Altima sales. May's ten best-sellers were rounded out by the Ford Fusion in ninth place with 33,881 sold, and the Honda CR-V in tenth with 32,430 sold.

Two vehicles with the potential to make a run at the best-sellers' lists are the Chevrolet Cruze and Ford Escape. The Chevrolet Cruze finished just outside the top 10, with 32,393 sold, while Ford sold 31,896 Escapes last month.
