The S-Class coupe set a new standard for interiors when it arrived on the market, and now the S-Class convertible looks to follow in the hardtop's tire tracks. Mercedes-Benz revealed a photo of the S-Class Cabriolet ahead of the car's expected debut at the Frankfurt motor show in September, and the cabin looks just as opulent as the coupe.

The new photo shows the interior of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet as the new car poses with its ancestor, the 1961 S-Class W111 convertible. The cabin design closely mimics that of the Coupe, with red leather upholstery, a cluster of four of circular air vents at the center of the dashboard, a large widescreen infotainment display atop the dash, and abundant seat controls on each front door panel. As on the previous image, we can see that most of the S-Class Coupe's graceful lines and proportions carry over to the Cabriolet, but with a large, flat tonneau cover behind the rear seats that features two large Burmester speaker grilles.
